Our Mission
To cure Ostami patients who have cancer in their excretory tract, their natural path is closed forever and a bag is put on the stomach after doing shell surgery and in this way urine and faeces keep leaking into it continuously. Such patients are called Ostami patients. Our aim is to give this incurable disease the status of disabled and efforts will be made to provide them all the facilities in India which they are entitled to. Along with this, our organisation arranges for the equipment required for their surgery at the lowest cost without making any profit.
In India, more than 20 lakh people are currently living with ostomy, and many face significant challenges not only from the medical aspects of their condition but also from social stigma and lack of awareness. Ostomy cancer, in particular, is a sensitive and often overlooked issue. We strive to provide these individuals with vital information, care, and resources to improve their quality of life.
Despite our best efforts, there remains a considerable gap in awareness about this condition, the struggles faced by those affected, and the support available. Our humble request is to leverage your esteemed platform at Aaj Tak to help raise awareness and spread information about ostomy cancer.
